Dr. Smith and the Brigham Foot and Ankle team are committed to orthopaedic education. In addition to teaching Harvard orthopaedic surgery residents and Harvard medical students, the Brigham Foot and Ankle Center runs a fellowship that provides advanced training and mentoring to doctors who have completed an orthopaedic surgery residency. This fellowship has been in place since 1991 and Dr. Smith is himself a graduate of this program.
